The year is 2000. In Stillwater, Oklahoma, a legend is born. A legend in the form of a band called the All American Rejects, made up of Tyson Ritter, Nick Wheeler, Tim Campbell, and Jesse Tabish. Although the latter two left the band, they were replaced by the talented Mike Kennerty and Chris Gaylor. In 2003, the legend is made known to the world with the release of their first studio album, The All American Rejects.
Their first album was hugely successful, bringing in over a million fans and quickly being proclaimed platinum. The album contained one of their first successful singles; "Swing, Swing". In 2005, the already popular band released their second album, Move Along, which surpassed the first, bringing in over two million sales and reaching the double platinum status. This album contained three hit singles; "Move Along", "It Ends Tonight", and "Dirty Little Secret", all which reached the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100. The third and most recent album took the band two long years to write, which had millions of fans waiting in anticipation. Finally, however, they released the record; 'When The World Comes Down'. The album's hit single, "Gives You Hell", peaked at number four on the Billboard Hot 100 and at number two on the Pop 100 as well. The entire album itself also received huge attention internationally, taking top places in the UK Singles Chart and the Australian ARIA Singles Chart, as well as many others across Europe and Asia.
Although the band specializes in popular rock music, they have been known to work on other forms as well. They often allow movies to use their singles, including Disney's Meet The Robinsons, which featured their single; "The Future Has Arrived" and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, which featured "Real World". The band has also contributed songs to popular video games such as Rock Band and Guitar Hero.
