More About Barry Manilow

We grew up on Barry Manilow and his crooning of songs like Mandy and matured with him in his Copa, Copa, Cabana from his musical in 2004 about a New York City nightclub, which are like indelibly imprinted on our minds. The tall gentleman singer in the white tails was the velvet voice of the times. Barry Manilow was born Barry Pincus in Brooklyn, New York on June 17, 1943. His first success was an off Broadway musical score for The Drunkard which played for 8 years in New York.

A Juilliard School trained musician, his talents and musical training got him jobs in everything from commercials to working with Bette Midler.
