Based on Gregory McGuire’s novel of the same name, Wicked, the Untold Story of the Witches of Oz begins in the present day. The opening number, “No One Mourns the Wicked”, depicts a celebration of the townsfolk after the demise of the Wicked Witch of the West, who’s been killed by a farm girl from Kansas. The show then flashes back to the birth of a strange, green skinned baby, Elphaba, whose strange beginning would become a harbinger of all of the tribulations and misunderstandings she’d have to endure throughout her life. During her college years at Shiz University, Elphaba meets her antagonist, the beautiful socialite, Galinda. The two young girls would form a lasting friendship, despite their differing viewpoints and shared love interests. The Wicked show is complete with great storytelling, a memorable score, and special effects that are a feast for the senses. The plot give answers to questions not thought of before of all the characters from the original Wizard of Oz classic. The show is great fun for everyone. Make sure to book your Wicked tickets well in advance of the show, as most dates sell out months before the performance. We hope to see you at the show.
