In 1998, the Black Eyed Peas released their debut album 'Behind the Front' and it was an instant hit. The group is made up of members will.i.am, apl.de.ap, Taboo and Fergie, with each members unique approach to music, the group has been able to hold their own and create a new sound that has been grasped with welcome by many fans.
will.i.am and apl.de.ap first met early on and formed the band Atban Klann which gave them a start in the music industry. They performed at many L.A. night clubs, they performed by will rapping and apl break dancing. As time went on the two decided to refocus their ideas and soon found Taboo, who was a dancer and martial artist, the year 1995. To round off the band, the members asked Fergie to join in 2003 replacing their current back up singer. Fergie, began her start on the music scene in the 80's on the show "Kids Incorporated'.
The band has been riding a high road of success with such songs as: "Boom Boom Pow" and "I Gotta Feeling". In September the group began touring Japan and New Zealand and plan to tour throughout the 2010 year.
The Tour which is connected to their latest album: "The E.N.D'. was first thought to be the disbanding of the band, however will.i.am spoke to the news media and explained that the album title actually stood for "The Energy Never Dies". The band is well known for the high energy they posses through out each song and even on stage.
