When in 2004 the Composer and Musical Director David Downes created Celtic Woman with five amazingly talented Irish artists, no one could have foreseen the overwhelming success that Celtic Woman was going to become. From the very beginning, the group has enjoyed a great reception from the audience who was captivated by Celtic Woman's repertoire ranging from beloved traditional Celtic tunes to modern songs arranged in a very unique way. To date, Celtic Woman has released four albums: 'Celtic Woman', 'Celtic Woman: A Christmas Celebration', 'Celtic Woman: A New Journey' and 'Celtic Woman: The Greatest Journey', which have gone platinum in the USA and South Africa and reached gold status as far as Japan and Australia. Celtic Woman has also held the first place on the Billboard World Music Charts for 95 consecutive weeks! With their name growing bigger every day, Celtic Woman tickets are selling like hot cakes. Apart from completing four hugely successful tours in the USA, the band has also toured Japan, Germany, South Africa and Canada.
