Jason Mraz is an incredibly talented and popular American singer and songwriter. Mraz was interested in music from a very young age, playing and singing with an R&B band at the age of thirteen in his hometown of Mechanicsville, Virginia. He continued to be involved in music while growing up. Mraz performed regularly in high school musicals and continued his study of music at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City. While in school he learned to play the guitar and he says it changed his life. He dropped out of school and spent all day in Central Park learning to play guitar from anyone that would teach him.
