About Jonas Brothers
The Jonas Brothers are pop trio hailing from New Jersey. The three members, Nick, Joe, and Kevin Jonas are all brothers, ranging from 22 to 17 years old. Nick Jonas was discovered in a barber shop, and had a solo singing career before the three brothers joined together to form a band. The Jonas Brothers came to be in 2005, signing with Columbia Records. The Jonas Brothers are currently signed with Hollywood Records, which allows them to be connected with all things Disney. Their boyish good looks and clean lyrics have made them a favorite among kids and tweens everywhere.
The brothers have released four albums to date, including It’s About Time in 2006, their self-titled album, Jonas Brothers, in 2007, A little Bit Longer in 2008, and their most recent, Lines, Vines and Trying Times in 2009. Some of their singles include “Year 3000,” “Mandy,” “Burnin’ Up,” “Love Bug,” and “Fly With Me.” The Jonas Brothers have, in just four years, sold over 8 million albums world-wide and many of their concerts have sold out, making Jonas Brothers tickets a hot commodity. The Jonas Brothers are not only a band; they do a lot of acting as well. Aside from releasing four albums in four years, the Jonas Brothers have also starred in the TV-movie Camp Rock, and currently star in a new television show entitled Jonas. Camp Rock was a movie about a rock star, played by Joe Jonas, who teaches kids in a music camp for the summer. A sequel for the movie is now in the works. The television show Jonas is somewhat of a parody of the Jonas Brothers’ actual lives; three brothers in a boy band trying to live lives as regular teenagers. They have also written approximately eight songs for the TV show and have performed many of them on the show already. They have also won over half a dozen Teen Choice Awards and have even been nominated for a Grammy.
