About Kid Rock
Kid Rock has been in the music making business since before the 1990s. His first album, “Grits Sandwiches for Breakfast” was less than a success for the then youngster trying to make a life in music. He came back into music with the “Devil Without a Cause” album in 1998. Its initial release was a bit slow, but with pushes from MTV he became the ROCK COWBOY with the second single off his record “Bawitdaba” and the follow-up single “Cowboy”. That album went on to sell 11 million copies. He tried to re-master some of his old hits on the ”History of Rock” album released in 2000, but instead came out with a big hit of his own called “American Bad Ass”. He has been involved with many different artists in music. He works with Uncle Cracker, Sheryl Crowe in their hit “Picture”, and even performed in a very memorable moment with Run DMC on the 1999 MTV Video Music Awards.
Over the course of his career, Kid Rock has sold over 22 million albums. He is currently the 99th best selling music artist of all time and that fact acts to a testament that people of all backgrounds enjoy the sound that he produces. He comes off as the white-trash rocker/rapper within the rock industry, and plays it well. He took things full blown, even with some losses in his life and continued to make music.
His most recent record “Rock N Roll Jesus” was released in 2007. This is the first album that he has had that has gone Number 1 in his career. He has had the hit of the summer with the song “All Summer Long”. This album has put him on the charts. As of now, Kid Rock is working on a new album, and is promised to have many different music artists featuring on the album including: T.I., Lil Wayne, and Bon Jovi. It is expected to be released in late 2009 or early 2010. He keeps getting better with time, so this album should top Rock N Roll Jesus.
The next big hurrah that Kid Rock has recently confirmed is his first annual cruise dubbed the “Chillin The Most Cruise” a call back to his hit “Cowboy”, on April 29, 2010. It will run 4 days through May 3 from Tampa, Florida to Grand Cayman. It will feature him and many other bands, yet to be named. To get tickets to Kid Rock or Kid Rock tour stay tuned. Please notify me when Kid Rock tickets become available. I have never met him or seen any of his concerts, but I am looking forward to it one day. I have a lot of admiration for him considering how far he had to come to get where he is today. I am from the country and was raised to appreciate what you have and never take it for granted. I raised my children as a single parent and no matter what society wants to pin on us about “children from a broken home” are the ones with problems. Hey, look at Kid, look at me, my children all have children of their own and happily married. One has been assisting in surgical procedures since she was 18yrs old, she is now 28. One works for the TN State Prison and has for a number of years, but prior to that he owned his own business, he is now 30. The youngest of the three is a stay at home mom by choice and is now 27. It’s not always black and white…there tends to be a gray area…besides, i am a single 46 woman(by choice) and have been in the legal profession for approximately 21 yrs. I now hope to complete my dreams by making at least one “Kid Rock” concert and hopefully meet him….. Thanks
