More About Moody Blues
The Moody Blues Band has been around making beautiful music since 1964. They are originally from Birmingham, England. Their musical career began with the release of their second smash hit 'Go Now'. One of their greatest songs was 'Nights in White Satin' which was released in 1967. This song was one of many other wonderful songs on the album called Days of Future Passed. The Moody Blues Band helped define Rock and Roll. The band has a style that many others have tried to copy over the years. They liked to infuse orchestral sounds into their performances. Their songs frequently could be found on the Billboard Top 100 Chart. Some of their other greatest hit songs were Tuesday Afternoon, Legend of a Mind, and Watching and Waiting. Their sound was instrumental to the transition to progressive rock. Sometimes they rework their older hits and re-release them again. The Moody Blues band has gone through many different members over the years. Most of the original band members have stuck with the band year after year. John Lodge, Justin Hayward, Ray Thomas, and Graeme Edge have been long time Moody Blues band members. They helped make the band what it is today. The band did take a break for a short time to allow for some of its members to try their hand at singing by themselves. Luckily, the break only happened for about three years before they got back together again. The Moody Blues Tour is often sold out so if you are planning to attend one of their concerts than you should make sure to order your tickets well in advance of the performance date. The Moody Blues tour has covered the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States. Their popularity is apparent by their sold out performances. They started touring in North American in the summer of 2009. The band is also very popular in New Zealand, Europe and Australia.
