More About Rod Stewart

The Rod Stewart tour is a chance for both fans of classic rock and of American song standards to see a monumental talent. Known for his rooster-like blond tresses, lanky build and distinctive raspy voice, Rod Stewart's career stretches over five decades. After going solo in the 1970's, Stewart became rock royalty with hits such as 'Tonight's the Night' and 'Maggie May'. Three of Rod Stewart's songs have been included in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's list of '500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll'. In 1978, Stewart made an impact in the disco genre with his single 'Do Ya Think I'm Sexy', a song that gets people on the dance floor even today. Acclaimed by fellow music superstars such as James Brown and Elton John, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame added Stewart to its ranks in 1994. Today, Rod Stewart maintains his great shape, and still kicks soccer balls into concert crowds, guaranteeing a special night for those lucky holders of seats at his performance. More recently, Stewart has taken a mellower yet still memorable approach to music, with his four albums featuring covers of classic pop songs from the Great American Songbook.
