About The Killers
“The killers” blazed on the Indie scene in the year 2003 with their hit “Mr. Brightside” introduced by BBC Radio.
Current band members include the following members:
Brandon Flowers – performs lead vocals, keyboard and also bass.
Dave Keuning – performs lead guitar and backup vocals.
Mark Stoermer – performs bass guitar, rhythm guitar and in some cases backup vocals.
Ronnie Vannucci Jr. – performs percussion and drums.
The Band created their sound based on The Beatles and The Cure reviving the punk revolution of the 80’s. The Killers started out in pubs and night clubs grabbing their first important contact through Alex Gilbert employed by Warner Brothers. Alex handed the band of to a label representative of Lizard King. The Killers based in America had their radio debut in the United Kingdom with “Mr. Brightside” the band gained popularity in August 2003 and then gained popularity in the United States.
The Killers albums are “Hot Fuss”, “Sams Town”, “Sawdust” and “Day and Age”. The Killers have been signed by a number of labels like Island records, Lizard King, Vertigo. “Hot Fuss” going platinum internationally and topping the charts in the U.K. and U.S. gained a very big fan base. Recently the song “Human” from the Album “Day & Age” is gaining more fans for the band recently receiving heavy radio play in the United States.
“The style and the stage walk hand in hand for me”, explained Brandon about his style. The Killers tour of the United States starts in January. The concert will include the album “Day & Age” and a few covers with “Smile Like you Mean It” from the album “Hot Fuss” classically played with violins and all.
The Killers are a positive band with many fans that adore them calling themselves “The Victims”. With the band’s free style and unique Mormon take by Brandon Flowers it’s no wonder how this band made it platinum. They’re classy dress combined with Punk sounds make for a great and unique mix.
