The Hurricanes look again to make some noise in the Southeast Division and the Eastern Conference this year and don’t be surprised if they are back in the Stanley Cup Finals and win it all like they did back in 05-06.
The ‘Canes have brought in Stephan Yelle and Erik Cole in the off-season but the centerpiece of the Hurricanes is none other than the captain Rod Brind Amour. Brind Amour is by far the longest tenured Hurricane having been picked up by the club back in 2000. Eric Staal, the longtime Carolina favorite, is also back. Cam Ward is also back so the offense of Carolina looks good. Niclas Wallin has also been around as long as Brind Amour and should anchor the defense. Michael Leighton will be back at goal.
