About Washington Capitals

The Washington Capitals play in the Southeast Division of the National Hockey League’s Eastern Conference. The Capitals entered the playoffs for the first time in the team’s history back in 1983. They however lost in the first round to the New York Islanders. They continued to make the playoffs in the following 13 seasons, losing in the first or second rounds. The Caps first played in the old Cap Centre in Washington before moving to the new MCI Center in 1997. The future of the Caps is looking very good for the best century.

The Washington Capitals play all there home games at the Verizon Center in Washington D.C. Looking at the 2010 schedule it is looking line another great year for the Caps. Remember you can buy tickets at this site also for the upcoming season. This is looking like this could be the season the Caps to bring the first Lord Stanley cup to the nation’s capitol. With most of the team returning for the 2010 season the Caps should be a force to be reckon with in the east. The Caps have been in one Stanley Cup final that was back in the 1997-98 season which they lost to the Detroit Redwings in four straight games. The Caps have been playing for 34 seasons and the time has come for the caps to finally win the big on.
