With some time playing together and an off-season to come together as a team under Coach Brown, much more positive things can be expected out of this Bobcat team. The Bobcats' athleticism will give any team fits, just as they handed the NBA Champion Lakers two losses last year. And with this talent in the top-heavy Eastern Conference, five playoff spots should be available for the taking by the end of the year.
The Bobcats have really tightened up their defense with specialists Bell and Chandler, while Diaw and Felton will look to penetrate on the offensive end. Big bodies DeSagana Diop and Nazr Mohammed on the inside should be able to amass gobble up rebounds and rough up opposing big men as well. If the outside shooters can drain some three-point shots, there is no reason to believe that the Bobcats cant play with any team on a given night.
The Charlotte Bobcats schedule includes some great games early on, including a dandy the day after Thanksgiving against LeBron James, Shaquille O'Neal, and the Cavaliers. This is followed up on December 1 with Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and the Celtics coming to town. These games against the elite of the East should give the Bobcats an idea about where they stand against the best the East has to offer, and will surely be an exciting night out for the fans. There will be 41 Charlotte Bobcat games at Time Warner Cable Arena this year and hopefully a few playoff games on top of that. But that should give fans plenty of opportunities to see this exciting Bobcat team in action.
