More About Cincinnati Bengals

After a twenty-six year hiatus from professional football due to World War II, the Bengals returned, resurrected by Paul Brown. Even though Cincinnati was considered an expansion team at the time, they had been around since the first professional league was formed in the 1930's. The Bengals celebrated their 40th anniversary of being a professional football team during the 2007 season. Currently, Marvin Lewis heads the helm of this historic team, with Mike Brown being the owner. Cincinnati Bengals tickets, while priced at a relatively high cost, still remain one of the most popular tickets for locals to buy. Cincinnati Bengals games at Paul Brown Stadium have a reputation for being very pleasing for both home, and visiting sides. Paul Brown Stadium tickets should be obtained well in advance and many times can only be purchased through a private ticket broker. As of now the 2009 Cincinnati Bengals are looking for a playoff spot this season. Their team has many weapons on offense, including a veteran quarterback in Carson Palmer, and one of the top wide receivers in the league with Chad Ochocinco. Last year a very young defensive unit headed by Mike Zimmer managed to finish the season ranked 12th in the league, which is very good for a rebuilding team. With the experience of the 2008 season under their belts, this team is poised to be a contender. As for coaching, although 2008 was a disappointment, Marvin Lewis is still considered to be a top coach in the NFL. Entering his seventh season with the Bengals, Lewis is one season away from being the longest tenured coach in Bengal history, and for good reason. His win/loss ratio might bring him his skeptics, but one must remember that this team wasn't even on the radar before his tenure began, and they are beginning to make leaps and bounds to becoming a respectable force in what has become a very, very competitive league.
