LifeLock has been the title sponsor of this event since 2008 and currently has signed a three year deal as the event's title sponsor. Mark Martin is the most recent winner of the LifeLock 400, winning in June 2009. The victory was Martin's second in the event, his first coming in 1998. Cale Yarborough has the most victories in the history of this particular race, having won six times on this track. Yarborough's victories are impressive as his victories came in three back to back sets. Yarborough was victorious in 1969 and 1970, 1977 and 1978, and 1982 and 1983.
The LifeLock 400 has undergone 17 different name changes since 1969. Miller Brewing Company had one of NASCAR's longest title sponsorship deals, lending their name to this race from 1984-1998. During the Miller Brewing Company's sponsorship, the title name of the race changed five times representing different Miller Brewing products.
The LifeLock 400 is held at the Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Michigan each June. The race is a 400 mile, 200 lap race on the speedway's D-shaped track with a moderate bank to the track. When the race was first held in 1969, it was actually a 500 mile race. The next year it was changed to a 400 mile race. Only once since then has the format been changed intentionally. In 1974 the race was shortened 10% to 360 miles in response to the national fuel crisis.
