Infineon Raceway in Sonoma hosts the Toyota Save Mart 350(known to fans as the Save Mart 350) in Mid-June and is always the first of two road races that are on the NASCAR circuit. Sonoma is always action packed and known for its late race antics and has been in NASCAR since the late 1980's. The Save Mart 350 actually takes place at Sears Point in Sonoma and the track rolls through the Northern California hills and after alterations since its debut in 1989 is now a 1.99 mile track that features hair pin turns, one of the longest straight-aways in NASCAR, and is just one demanding course. The Save Mart 350 is the first race in which NASCAR gets a peek at its so called 'road ringers': drivers from other road racing series who come to Sonoma to race.
