About South Pacific

While this South Pacific show is well-known for the remarkable score, it is also a deep and earnest drama. With issues of racial prejudice sensitively, yet openly, examined, the story of Americans immersed in a foreign culture is as relevant today as when it first delighted audiences.

South Pacific tells the story of US military men, nurses, and residents of a Polynesian island during World War II. Nellie is “In Love With A Wonderful Guy,” Emile, a French plantation owner. Joe has fallen for Bloody Mary’s daughter whom he declares is “Younger Than Springtime,” while a chorus of marines, sailors, and Seabees will remind you there is “Nothing Like A Dame.” Other musical classics include “Some Enchanted Evening,” “Bali Ha’i,” “This Nearly Was Mine,” and “I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Out Of My Hair.”

Don’t miss the opportunity to see what New York Newsday Review called “… as heartfelt as it is visually spectacular, as seriously musical as it is grand entertainment.” South Pacific tickets may be purchased online through our website or by calling our office.
